Beachside Romance

I had so much fun creating this board for Alex who is getting married in Hawaii in May 2011. She knew that she wanted to use the colors pink and aqua and that she wanted to incorporate non-traditional beach decor. By this I mean that she did NOT want to decorate with seashells, sand, and starfish :) I chose to use pink orchids throughout her wedding to provoke an upscale tropical feel. Bridemaids will wear aqua knee-length dresses with pink sashes. Alex's non-traditional centerpieces include beautiful white coral and aqua glass bottles, along with vases with rocks and floating candles. Guests will sip on the couple's signature cocktail of Blue Hawaiians. The bride's cake incorporates bamboo accents, the couple's theme color, aqua, and bright green orchids for contrast. Overall, this palette evokes a luxurious beach feel that guests will not soon forget. What a beautiful wedding Alex and her fiance will have!
