Search for Shoes

I am on the search for wedding shoes. This has been a bit of a tough topic for me because, I really don't want to wear high heels (which is pretty abnormal for me since I love heels!) but for some reason I have always imagined wearing flats on my wedding day.

So this brings me to the subject of my dress. I went in the Priscilla of Boston last weekend to try on MY dress! I ordered it back in March and it finally came in! I love it soooo much, but of course, because I am only 5'5, the dress really calls for heels. I would hate to chop off too many inches from the bottom of the dress. Sooo I am now contemplating wearing some sort of heel for the ceremony at least. (I will still fight for my flats for the reception!!)

So I am looking for a pair of gorgeous, frilly, girly heels. Here are some that I love.

I saved the best for last, obviously. I love them all though. So now you all need to vote! Leave me a comment!

White Wedding

I am completely in love with this wedding, photographed by Jose Villa. The all-white color palette is gorgeous. The outdoor ceremony really lends itself to the simplicity of the all-white palette.
The outdoor ceremony features a circular set-up which is great so everybody has a good view of the bride and groom. Pre-ceremony drinks were set-up on a bar with gorgeous flower arrangements. The bride and groom said their vows under a white canopy and the bride walked down an aisle trimmed with white flowers.

The reception is a study in monochromatic color. Tables are adorned with white linens, chair covers, vases, and plates. Centerpieces are gorgeous balls of hydrangeas in unique, white vases and pillar candles in beautiful glass and chrome holders. The cake ties in their accent colors of chocolate brown and green.

After the dinner had been served, guests danced the night away in a lounge atmosphere. White furniture and drapery lend themselves to the beautiful club-like atmosphere. This wedding makes me so happy.
These are the colors I am using in my own wedding and I hope to achieve the same elegant, but laid-back vibe that this couple created at their wedding. I love seeing weddings where my color palette has come to life! Don't you?

New Job

So, I got a new job! Hooray for working and making some money! I have been searching for awhile and it feels good to have finally found something. Also, it happens to be in a field that I am just a little bit obsessed with...bridal!
Yep, I am a new bridal consultant at David's Bridal. I know there have been horror stories but I am hoping that I can influence my store for the better. Not to mention, I really have NO issues with being surrounded by wedding dresses every day! Sounds like a wonderful job to me.

So, in the spirit of bridal wear, I leave you with this:

A pretty dress from David's Bridal! Enjoy!

Wedding Day Hair

For all you brides-to-be out there, have any of you started thinking about your bridal hairstyle? There are so many beautiful options out there, how can a girl decide? My hairstyle dilemma is that I find myself wanting many, many hairstyles on that one special day! I have always known I would wear my hair down or half-up for my wedding, yet I still find myself swooning at the gorgeous, non-traditional up-dos that I have come across lately.

Look at her gorgeous, romantic, half-up do. This is most likely the style that I will go with for my own wedding, but how awesome would it be if I could pull off an up-do for our formal, church ceremony, and then transition to this for the reception? I have a feeling this sounds high-maintenance and almost bridezilla-ish, but I still think its a great idea. :)

Here are some of the up-dos that have caught my eye recently.

I can't decide if that last picture catches my eye because her hairstyle is so pretty or because she looks so glamorous with her entourage getting her ready for the big day!

I even found these photos on The Knot of a hairstyle that would be great to take from ceremony to reception; the classic up-do followed by the romantic, half-up look.

Will any of you be sporting two different hairstyles on your wedding day?
